AMD processor

any idea about the quality of AMD processors. I was planning to buy a laptop but was told by dealer that AMD has this problem of getting heated?? is that true or that guy is just shooting...

Seems the guy is just shooting it to earn more profit !! Intel use to have higher profit margins then AMD. AMD had heating issues in its intial days of release not now. I have been using my lappy with AMD processor since 3 years by now, didn't had any issues.
